Infrared Electrical Inspection


Inspecting your electrical distribution system with infrared thermography is the quickest, most cost-effective way to maintain consistency
in your facility. Electrical problems account for many work stoppages and bottlenecks in the manufacturing process. Inspecting with high resolution infrared imagers will allow you to pinpoint exceptions in the electrical system. Our imagers take 76,000 temperature measurements in a single image. This allows us to locate hot spots much more quickly than any other technology. This in turn equals cost savings not only in the cost of the service, but in the increased uptime.

Theory

  • Electrical currents flowing through conductors generate heat.
  • Many electrical defects are accompanied by temperature rise; these may be present weeks before failure.
  • Some defects can cause component cooling.

These inspections cover all current carrying devices that are under load.

At Infra-Image Inspections we use only Level II Certified Thermographers. Using Level 2 Arc Flash PPE and training. Inspection routes developed by you are followed, documented, and included in our reports. We include normal and infrared images of all exceptions in our reports along with an area designated for any follow up inspections after repairs have been made.
